Olivia Congrove receives the EF Global Citizen Scholarship! Olivia Congrove

EF Educational Tours is the world leader in international education. We partner with educators across the world to create culturally immersive student travel programs.

The EF Global Citizen Scholarship is awarded annually to students who strive to be global citizens in their daily lives and demonstrate a commitment to tackling global issues. Recipients of our annual Global Citizen Scholarship will travel for free to our Global Leadership Summit addressing the Future of Food. Selected students will experience Europe through the lens of food and collaborate with other globally-minded students at the two-day leadership conference in Milan, Italy, to design solutions to help feed our growing world -- and compete for a chance to have their idea featured in the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. The approximate value of the scholarship is $5,500.

This year, over 550 students applied for the Global Citizen Scholarship and only 18 students were chosen to be scholarship recipients- a 4% acceptance rate!

We chose two students from Ohio. The other student is from Olentangy High School.

We selected Olivia Congrove due to her exceptional essay which demonstrated her global mindset, commitment to service, and leadership skills.
