At Liberty Union-Thurston High and Middle Schools, your child has the wonderful opportunity to be able to use a Chromebook to enhance and accelerate their learning. LUHS and LUMS are considered 1-to-1 with Chromebooks, meaning that each student is assigned their own Chromebook to use and carry with them from class to class. Since your child is given the responsibility of carrying the same Chromebook each day, he/she is responsible for any damages that occur with their assigned Chromebook. Since some damages can be costly, we wanted to offer the option of insurance to cover the damages that may occur to your child’s assigned device. Below is the information about insurance offered by the Worth Ave. Group. You can complete and mail-in the below form to the Worth Ave. Group, or visit the libertyunion.org website, under the “Parents and Students” tab to find the Student Computer Insurance Portal to purchase insurance online.
This is NOT required, but an option for you to help cover any costs from damages to your child’s assigned Chromebook. If you are interested in purchasing this insurance and you need the serial number for your child’s assigned Chromebook (LUMS Students ONLY), please email Kelley Savage at firstname.lastname@example.org; LUHS students will be able to find their serial number (SN) on the back of their assigned Chromebook.
