Testing
Students in grades 3 and 4 will participate in state achievement
testing the week of April 21, 2008. Make-ups will be
given the week of April 28, 2008. 3rd grade will test
students in reading and math and 4th grade will test students in
reading, writing and math. Please make sure your child gets a
good night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast all week. The
tests will start first thing in the morning so please have them
here at school before the tardy bell rings at 8:50 AM. Our
Boosters will provide healthy snacks for the students on testing
days.
Market Day and Booster Mtg.
The next Market Day pick-up will be on Thursday evening,
April 24, 2008, from 7:00 – 8:00 PM in the multi-purpose
room. The May sale will be the last one for the school year so
start stocking up now on all those items that will get you
through the summer! The next elementary Booster meeting will be
on Monday, April 3, 2008, at 7:00 PM in the library.
Plans will be finalized for our author/illustrator visit on
April 15th and the COSI assemblies on April 17th and 18th.
The 1st annual mother/son bowling event was a huge success and
we look forward to the father/daughter dance this Saturday,
March 29, 2008, from 7:00 – 9:00 PM in our multi-purpose room.
Tickets are on sale now for $5.00 per person.
Spring Pictures
Individual and class pictures will be offered to students on
April 2, 2008. Information will be sent home with the
students soon. Packets must be paid for at the time of the
picture.
Kindergarten Registration
Do you have a child ready to start school this fall? Students
turning 5 by August 1, 2008, should be registered for the
2008-09 school year. Registration is open through April 14,
2008.
COSI on Wheels
All Kindergarten through 4th grade students will participate in
COSI on Wheels – “Agriculture Adventures.” On April 17, 2008,
all K and 1st grade classes, Mrs. Calderwood’s, Miss Pollack’s,
and Miss Lehman’s classes are scheduled. On April 18, 2008,
all 3rd grade, 4th grade and Mrs. Blackstone’s and Mrs.
Machinski’s classes are scheduled. Call Judith Cosgray, our
Booster president, if you can help out for all or part of either
day. This program is sponsored by our Boosters every year and is
a huge hit with the students!
Updating Records
As we near the end of the school year, please consider updating
your child’s information in the office if any of the following
have changed: address, home phone, work numbers, cell numbers,
marital status and/or custody papers.
