To All Connected to Liberty Union-Thurston Schools,

With the beginning of April, these daily updates will not have the general information that was posted all last month.  However, you can always refer back to previous updates for that information. Link:  http://www.libertyunion.org/COVID-19Information.aspx

Updated: April 6, 2020 at 6:00 P.M.

FOOD SERVICE NEW

This is a reminder that food service is available for all children under the age of 18. Everyone is eligible; there is no need to complete an application, or qualify for free and reduced lunches to receive this food. Please contact Jan Friedrich by email at [email protected] or 614-579-8807 to provide the number of children under 18 in your household.  A weekly allocation of meals will be ready for curbside pick every MONDAY from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. behind the middle school building. There is also a Thurston pick up location from 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.  The district will not be responsible for monitoring food allergies during this time. However, if your child has a severe allergy to peanut butter, please let us know, as we will routinely be using Uncrustables.

SPRING BREAK NEW

The Liberty Union-Thurston School District will honor its originally planned Spring Break beginning this Friday, April 10th through Tuesday, April 14th.  Teachers will not assign work for completion on these days and will not be required to respond to work related emails until April 15th. We encourage everyone to take a break from the computer during these days.

UPCOMING INFORMATION NEW

The Liberty Union Administrative Team meets each Monday to discuss the on-going COVID-19 school closure situation.  Current topics of discussion are: Fourth quarter grading policies and grade promotion, extending wifi, and the re-scheduling of key events such as Graduation and Prom.  If you have specific questions that you would like the Administrative Team to address and communicate using these updates, please send an email to [email protected]

Sincerely,

Liberty Union-Thurston Local School District
