Meals for Students

The Liberty Union Thurston Schools will provide free meals for students up to age 18 beginning on Monday, March 16, and will continue Monday through Friday until further notice.  Curbside pick up will be held at the back of the middle school building, 4 pm to 7 pm each day. We encourage families to pick up bags for the entire week for each child.

Each bag will provide one breakfast and one lunch for the following day. Bags may include items such as PB&J uncrustables, grilled cheese sandwiches, cheese sandwiches, string cheese, graham crackers, beef sticks, baby carrots/dip, fruit cups, cookies/crackers/chips, and drinks such as fruit juice, milk or water.  Items may vary by day, but we will do our best to provide nutritious meals for our students. The district will not be responsible for monitoring food allergies during this time. However, if your child has a severe allergy to peanut butter, please let us know, as we will be using Uncrustables on a daily basis.

If you plan to participate in the curbside pickup, please contact Jan Friedrich with the number of children at [email protected] or text 614-579-8807 in order for us to better serve your students.

If you plan to pick up weekly, we can prepare ahead if you let us know by contacting Jan Friedrich at the above email or text. Also, if you are in need of delivery, we have volunteers who are willing to make home deliveries.

Our goal in this project is to feed all children. Take care of one another. Control what we can and stay positive.
