Virtual Book Fair

In case you are doing any holiday shopping, we just wanted to share an easy way to get books delivered to the hands of your favorite people.

We are hosting a virtual book fair and the books are delivered to your door in time for Holiday/Christmas giving.  Just use the link and it helps LUES earn free books for our library as well.

The book fair starts 11/23 and runs 2 weeks until 12/6.

Book orders over $25 earn free delivery, too.

Please email Mrs. Feyko with questions!  ([email protected])

To assist all parents and students with the details of Back to School 2020-2021, we have combined highlights of all of the information we have shared previously into ONE document and organized it into categories noted with red font headers.  We will update this document continuously and add a date and timestamp of when it was last updated.  NEW information will be marked accordingly.

Firefighter Santa

The Basil Joint Fire District has begun the annual Firefighter Santa program for 2020.  Traditionally the Firefighter Santa program relies on conventional face-to-face distribution of "help forms" with the assistance of the LU-T administration to identify and distribute these forms to those who might qualify for help.  With the current pandemic we have again partnered with the LU-T schools to help us distribute these forms in a safe manner by making these forms available on their website.  If you or someone you know might qualify for help please download and print this form and return it to the Basil Joint Fire District Firefighter Santa program Firefighter Santa:
410 Washington StreetBaltimore, Ohio 43105  740-862-8596.
Forms have to be to the Basil Joint Fire District no later than 11/30/2020.
If you have questions about the program or need help please contact Lt. Steve Denney - 740-862-8596.

COVID-19 Reporting

"The Director of the Ohio Department of Health has issued an order requiring reporting and notification regarding COVID-19 cases in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school district must maintain a reporting system for parents to report positive tests of COVID-19.
Effective September 8, 2020, parents or guardians of students and school staff who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, whether by laboratory test or through clinical examination are encouraged to notify their school no later than twenty-four hours after receiving a confirmed diagnosis or positive COVID-19 test result.
The report to the school district should be made by contacting or calling the appropriate building principal.
The superintendent is then required to notify the community within 24 hours of any confirmed COVID-19 cases among the staff or student body while adhering to privacy and confidentiality rules, regulations, and laws."
